DANIELLE PRESTON

Danielle Preston is a Washington DC based costume designer working in theater, opera, and dance. She has been so grateful for the opportunity to explore characters through the vehicle of clothing and while creating a focus on the human experience.
Recent designs at Studio Theatre, Children's Theatre Company, Olney Theatre Center, Berkshire Theater Group, Hangar Theater, &Chicago Opera Theater.
Danielle holds a M.F.A. in Costume Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Danielle received the2015 Kenan Costume Fellow for the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and 2013 A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute Fellowship in Costume Design.
Danielle was listed on DC Metro Theater Arts 2023 Staff Favorites: Outstanding Creative Components for her design for Man Covets Bird and The Till Trilogy & DC Metro Theater Arts 2018 Staff Favorites: Outstanding Design Elements for her design for Long Way Down at the Kennedy Center.
