Danielle Preston is a freelance costume designer and professor in Maryland. Preston is an Assistant Professor of Theater at Frostburg State University beginning Fall 2020. She holds an MFA in Costume Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She has worked in various learning centers & institutions including Georgetown University, Sitar Arts Center, Catholic University of America and Bowie State University. Furthermore, she has worked as an Assistant Costume Designer in NYC & DC for designers such as Dede Ayite, Clint Ramos, & Ivania Stack. Professional fellowships include Kenan Costume Fellow for the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute Fellowship in Costume Design. Preston is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 and Costume Society of America.

Danielle was listed on DC Metro Theater Arts 2018 Staff Favorites: Outstanding Design Elements for her design for Long Way Down at the Kennedy Center.
